A shirt taken apart and put back together as a halter. Collar and buttons kept, sleeves and back removed, a keyhole cut straight down the chest.
The Girl Code shirt top takes a classic cotton shirt and rebuilds it as a halter. The pointed collar stays, along with a button at the throat, but the sleeves and the back are gone. A keyhole cutout opens down the centre of the chest, bridged partway by a thin fabric strap, so the front reveals a vertical strip of skin. The bodice is cut close with corset-style vertical seams and bust darts that shape it to the body, and buttoned tabs finish the cropped hem. The shoulders and back are left bare, held by the halter at the neck. Crisp white cotton keeps the whole thing sharp and structured rather than soft. It works with a bubble mini skirt, tailored trousers, or low rise denim. Available in sizes XS, S and M.
Can it be worn with a bra? The back is open and the chest has a keyhole cutout, so a conventional bra will show. Adhesive cups or a strapless style work with it.
How does it fasten? It fastens as a halter at the neck, with buttoned tabs at the cropped hem.
Is the fabric stiff or soft? Crisp cotton with structured panel seams, so it holds its shape rather than draping.
